The Comfort Allowance will increase effective November 1, 2009, from the current rate of $125/month to $128/month. If your annual net income is below $21,000, you may be eligible for a co-payment rate reduction. To apply for a reduction or to maintain eligibility for a rate reduction if you are already receiving one, you must complete an Application for Reduction in the Long-Term Care Home Accommodation Fees, by July 31, 2009.
