Leisureworld provides long-term care homes, known as our Leisureworld Caregiving Centres, for people who don't need to be in a hospital but can't be cared for at home or in an assisted living facility, due to illness, injury, frailty, or other limitations. Our Leisureworld Caregiving Centres offer 24/7 nursing and personal care. If your loved one requires full support in activities of daily living, you could consider long-term care. All long-term care homes are regulated by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care and must meet standards established by the Ministry.
People living in retirement or independent living residences are not as frail, are typically more active and do not have the same health limitations as those living in long-term care homes. They live independently in a retirement or independent living residence and do not require 24/7 nursing and personal care.
