Leisureworld provides long-term care homes for people who don't need to be in a hospital but can't be cared for at home or in an assisted living facility due to illness, injury, frailty, or other limitations.

Services for basic, semi or private accommodation provide you with most of your day-to-day needs. The overall rate for these services is determined by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.

Below is a list of services that our Leisureworld homes provide.

• Friendly caring staff
• Three appetizing and nutritious meals and snacks a day
• Therapeutic diets, dietary supplements and assistive devices to encourage independence
• Nursing and personal care 24/7
• On-site medical care provided by a physician who makes regular visits to the home
• Rehabilitation and restorative care services
• OHIP based physiotherapy services
• Supplies, equipment, and devices necessary for the provision of medical, nursing and personal care
• Social and interactive programs are available on a daily basis
• Bedroom furnishings, including a bed, bedside table, TV stand, chair and closet
• Bedding and linen
• Housekeeping and laundry services

• Transportation to appointments/clinics
• Escort service to doctors’ appointments
• Dental services
• Foot care
• Vision care, optometrist and audiologist services
• Meals outside the home
• Special activities
• Telephone, cable and internet connections
• Newspaper delivery
• Equipment such as wheelchairs, toilet aids and other self-help items
• Hair salon for women and barber services for men
• Medications, treatments and pharmacy services
