Leisureworld Caregiving Centre Lawrence is located in the former City of York in the Lawrence Avenue West and Weston Road area. Leisureworld Lawrence opened its doors in September 2002. Nestled in a bustling residential community close to retail shopping, churches, TTC and the Go Station, it offers private or shared accommodation to the 224 residents who call it home. Attention is paid to the needs of the diverse cultures and interests represented in the home with such events as Italian socials, Catholic Mass, art, and pet therapy programs. Regular Welcome Teas are held for new residents to meet and mingle, the beautiful gardens encourage residents to spend time relaxing and visiting outdoors, and the indoor horticulture room provides the joy of gardening all year long. During the year the community is invited to join residents in various fundraising and educational events.
