Innovation and excellence deserve recognition! Every day, the teams at Leisureworld and Preferred Health Care Services manage the health, wellbeing and comfort of thousands of people in need of compassionate care. The day-to-day contributions of these dedicated professionals at all levels of the organization have earned Leisureworld and Prefererd Health Care Services a reputation for excellence and for enhancing human dignity. Our Award of Excellence program recognizes Leisureworld and Preferred Health Care Services employees who have made outstanding contributions to the organization’s operational success or who have shown innovation in the delivery and quality of care, education or service for residents, clients and co-workers. The Award of Excellence program honours employees who exemplify, reinforce and promote our core values: Respect, Commitment, Teamwork, Communication and Learning. One award recipient is selected annually in each category from all those who have been nominated by their peers. Annual award winners are presented with a commemorative plaque and a $1,000 monetary gift. In addition, a donation of $500 is made in each recipient’s name to a registered charity of his or her choice. Lastly, the home or office in which each award winner works is presented with a certificate for display in a common staff area.
